Mo̠z Qov Vrët (/mo̠z/ /qov/ [basic] [toddler]) is a subtropical Town located in the I̽lökri̽ Moot of the Viceroyalty of Rosid.

The name Mo̠z Qov Vrët is derived from the Wood Elvish language, as Mo̠z Qov Vrët was founded by Dhelgan Phiegror, who was culturaly Wood Elven.

Climate

Mo̠z Qov Vrët has a yearly average temperature of 15°C (59°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 28°C (82°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cold 3°C (37°F). Mo̠z Qov Vrët receives an average of 152 cm/y (59 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of snow during the pleasantly short winter months. Mo̠z Qov Vrët covers an area of nearly 4 km2 (1 mi2), and an average elevation of 2484 m (8149 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Mo̠z Qov Vrët was founded durring the early 11th century, by Dhelgan Phiegror. The establishment of Mo̠z Qov Vrët was only bairly constructed. The sheer number of problems with its founding were enough to make several of the backers funding Mo̠z Qov Vrët's construction back out of the project. Dhelgan Phiegror pushed on reguardles, and Mo̠z Qov Vrët was finished, but starts off as a terible place to live.

Mo̠z Qov Vrët was built using the conventions of Wood Elven durring the early 11th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Mo̠z Qov Vrët is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature delicute timber framework hidden behind layer upon layer of finly ground plaster bleached to an almost glossy white sheen, with green clay tiled roofs and decorative brass-leafed trim. Even the smallest, poorest looking structures appear to be expencive thanks to the extreem elegence of the organic shapes and paterns going into their lofty, spire-y, vagly gothic designs. The more well off folks live in identicle homes, save for even shiner trim and a more whimsical appearance to their structures flowing forms.

Mo̠z Qov Vrët is buildings are arranged arround a network of narrow cobblestone streets which form a grid, where each square verries in size given the proximity of the paralell streets forming each section. The ocasional smaller square has been used to construct a park, plaza, and other communal structures. The town is protected by a humble stone fence which is tall enough to provide adiquite cover for defenders to fire from, but no more than that. Mo̠z Qov Vrët's peasent-grade are suffering from significent damage, so much so that examples can be pointed to no matter which section one might have within their line of site, and most of which render sections inoperable at present.

Right off the bat Mo̠z Qov Vrët hits you in the face with its success. Everyone, even the peasants, are dressed in well made clothing. Every tool and implement you can see is finely made, and people will boast to you as obvious strangers of the wonders which can be found in their markets. More interestingly is a total lack of beggars, and plenty of new buildings are going up even as you speak. Somehow this town has come into quite a lot of wealth, and recently from the looks of things. This wealth has brought the town nothing but neurosis, if you can believe your eyes. Everyone acts as if you’re out to take a piece of them. Every door is locked and every window barred. Efforts are made to make you feel welcome, but only in the public areas of the town, particularly the market.

Civic Infrastructure

Mo̠z Qov Vrët has an Office of Civil Vicary, which is responsible for providing a livelyhood for all officialy recognised religious figures within Mo̠z Qov Vrët.

Mo̠z Qov Vrët has a Gravedigger's Guild, which is responsible for collecting the dead and laying them to rest according to all applicable laws and religious customs.

Mo̠z Qov Vrët has a Highwayman's Guild, which is tasked with maintaining the roads and highways leading into town as well as keeping them safe for travelers.

Mo̠z Qov Vrët has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain Mo̠z Qov Vrët's public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.

Mo̠z Qov Vrët possesses an older civil lighting system consisting of street lamps. These lights provide nighttime illumination to most city streets.

Mo̠z Qov Vrët has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands.

Mo̠z Qov Vrët has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Cultural Notes

Mo̠z Qov Vrët's citizens locals enjoy many vices and lustful appetites. They may have religious sanction for their deeds, or neighbors might trade with them for such things, or they could be followers of some ideology that blesses such pursuits. Their economy or their social organization is usually heavily reliant on such traffic, and to ensure its continuance they may have made bargains with various mortal and immortal powers.

Mo̠z Qov Vrët's mayor's house was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is characterized by their massive, monolithic and 'blocky' appearance with a rigid geometric style. It was best known for its rough, unfinished surfaces, unusual shapes, heavy-looking materials, straight lines, and small windows. Modular elements were often used to form masses representing specific functional zones, grouped into a unified whole.

Mo̠z Qov Vrët's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in autumn and involves consuming a local narcotic to channel Wild Magic energies of tier 1 via proclamations.
